If you didn’t know, I live in Hull, and I bloody love my city. I find it really sad to hear other people calling Hull the worst place in the country, and I find it even worse to hear people from Hull doing the same. You’ll always find as well, it’s the people who don’t go out and explore where they live, they don’t go and walk around the independent shops and cafes, or look up at the buildings above them. We’ve just finished our city of culture year and it has done amazing things for the city and I am proud to live here.
Last Saturday me and Nathan decided to go for ice cream for breakfast (adulting at its very best) then we went for a little walk around Trinity square, enjoying the sun and eating some more…
The most amazing ice cream from Frizza Caffe Gelato, I’m normally a banana and chocolate kinda girl, but A) Banana is a task and half to find, and B) Mint looks so much better when you take a photo (eating for the gram) I did love the mint though and Nathan got strawberry and mango and he said it was one of best sorbets he’d tried (in the UK obvs!)
Hepworth Arcade is such a beautiful and overlooked part of Hull, and Beasleys is a really fun independent store filled with vintage finds and local artists t-shirts
I feel totally amazing in these trousers from Primark, if you are short like me, you will know the struggle of finding wide leg trousers to fit. I’m also loving wearing this blush blazer also from Primark with statement tees!
The pizza man in the market makes amazing Italian food, you can’t not go to the market without visiting him!
Hull Minster and blue skies, what could be more beautiful?
I love how beautiful this ceiling is, and I love finding beauty like this in my city. It’s important to be proud of where you are from because half of what makes a place isn’t just the buildings, its the people too.
Much love
